Lady Gaga Reveals The Ultra-Direct Question She Asked Her Fiancé On Their First Date

Lady Gaga put it all on the line when she first met her now-fiancé, Michael Polansky.

The “Abracadabra” singer told “Good Morning America” that she laid out her intentions ― and checked to make sure they were the same as Polansky’s ― before the two even left for their first date.

“I wanted marriage and kids more than anything,” the “A Star Is Born” actor shared with interviewer Michael Strahan.

She said that she and Polansky had “been talking on the phone for three weeks every single day just getting to know each other” prior to their first date, where Gaga ended up getting very direct, very fast.

“Michael flew to Vegas when I was doing my show to take me on our first date, and before we even sat down, I said, ‘Do you want marriage and kids?’ And he goes, ‘Yeah, I do,’” Gaga shared. “And I said, ‘OK. Great. Do you want some champagne?’ And he said, ‘Sure.’”

Gaga explained that she was so forward with Polansky because she wanted him to know that she was “a family girl.”

When asked what made Polansky the right person for her, Gaga answered that he simply “just loves the whole me.”

“He’s so supportive,” she said of the tech entrepreneur, who she also said was her best friend.

“Being in a partnership with your best friend I feel like is a huge blessing, and I couldn’t imagine, like, going through life with anyone but him, honestly,” she added.

Lady Gaga has been engaged twice prior to her engagement to Polansky.

She announced her first engagement to “Chicago Fire” star Taylor Kinney in 2015. The two later called things off in 2016 after five years together.
