Adam Levine is almost inked from head to toe, but the Maroon 5 frontman is now saying he’s “done” with tattoos.
The 46-year-old spoke about his recent decision in an interview with Today.com, where he spoke about changing his mind on tattoos after recently covering up his sleeve on his left arm.
“I covered up my sleeve with another sleeve. Who does that? What is wrong with me? Psychotic,” the singer shared.
“It really hurt. I’m kind of done with the pain, I’ve decided … now, I’ve softened,” Levine explained. “Now, when I get a tattoo, I’m like, ‘This hurts so badly.’ Like, ‘What’s wrong?’ We’re done.”

Levine isn’t the only famous celebrity to stop getting tattoos. Comedian Pete Davidson is not only not getting any more ink ― he’s also getting his 200 tattoos removed.
“I started during COVID in 2020 and it’s gonna take me another 10 years. My arms are pretty much gone, and my hands and neck are gone,” Davidson said in an interview with Variety earlier this year. “But I still have to do my torso and back. It was really just because I wasn’t taking care of myself.”

Davidson described the process “like putting your arm on a grill and burning off a layer.” He said that it’s not only painful ― it’s also costly.
“I’ve already spent like $200K and I’m like 30% done. So, like, it’s gonna suck,” he said, before explaining why he decided to begin removing his tattoos.
“I used to be a drug addict and I was a sad person, and I felt ugly and that I needed to be covered up,” the 31-year-old added. “So I’m just removing them and starting fresh, because that’s what I think works best for me and for my brain.”
