TikTok star Alix Earle is telling all about the one cosmetic enhancement she regretted “right away.”
The 24-year-old influencer, who has been candid about undergoing plastic surgery in the past, told her followers all about her veneers for the first time ― and why she never admitted she had them until now.
“I never wanted to post about it because I immediately feel like I regretted it,” Earle said in a TikTok video she posted last week, adding that she didn’t “want to influence people to do something I don’t think they should do.”
Earle said that she used to love her old teeth, and they actually “looked really good.” But after getting a few tweaks to two teeth ― where the bonding kept cracking off ― she decided to get veneers.
While she originally only wanted two veneers, a dentist convinced her to do more so that her smile would look more uniform.
“I don’t know why I listened to that because originally that’s not what I wanted,” she said, adding that she “went in for two teeth” and “basically left with 10” veneers.
Earle started to tear up as she retold the story.
Just a normal night
“I really regretted it, like right away,” Earle said. “And I think it was really scary for me, and I was like, ‘What did I just do?’”
The influencer said that because she got veneers, she’ll now “have to keep up with it” for the rest of her life, and get them replaced when needed.
“I regret it a lot. End of the day, whatever. It was my decision,” she said. “But, I feel like it was kind of one of those decisions that was made pretty fast, and I just didn’t think it all the way through or talk to enough people.”
The former podcaster later explained that she was never trying to hide her cosmetic procedure from her followers but instead was trying to protect them from doing the same thing.
“I just never came forward and said it because I really, really regretted it, and I did not want to influence anyone to do it because I don’t think that you should,” Earle said. “I think natural teeth are so beautiful.”
Most of Earle’s followers said that they wouldn’t follow in her footsteps, mostly because of the hefty price tag associated with veneers.
“Don’t worry we can’t afford it,” one commenter said on Earle’s TikTok video, as another person quipped, “Poverty saves me once again.”
Another commenter added that “This is the deinfluencing we WANT.”
In addition to Earle, actor Sofia Vergara also has been candid about the cosmetic procedures she likes and certain ones that she would never do.
“I’ve been doing Botox for a long time in my neck, [around] my eyes,” Vergara said last year in an interview with Allure magazine.

“I don’t believe in filler. I feel filler does good when you’re really young and you want a little bit more cheeks or to plump your lips a little bit,” the “Modern Family” star added.
“At my age — 51 — I feel it’s not going to make you look younger. It is going to make you look more done,” she said. “And I feel like it actually doesn’t pull you up; it kind of weighs [you down]. So I am against that, once you hit a certain age.”
