Bill Burr is continuing to slam Elon Musk.
The outspoken comedian shared last month that his account on X, the social media platform Musk acquired when it was still known as Twitter, was flagged after he mocked the billionaire for what Burr called “Sieg heiling” during an inaugural celebration for President Donald Trump.
Appearing on NPR’s “Fresh Air” program Monday, Burr said he wants “regular people” to stop fighting each other when it’s really just “they” who’ve politicized everyday issues to insidiously have us do so.
When asked who “they” are, Burr spoke truth to power — and slammed those who don’t.
“That idiot Elon Musk,” Burr said. “That guy, who evidently is a Nazi. Like, I just refuse to believe that it was an accidental, two-times Sieg heil, and he does it at a presidential inauguration. This is why I hate liberals. It’s like liberals have no teeth, whatsoever.
“They just go, ’Oh my God! Can you believe it? I’m getting out of the country!′ You’re going to leave the country ’cause of one guy with dyed hair plugs and a laminated face who makes a bad car and has an obsolete social media platform?”
He pleaded, “You’re going to leave? Why doesn’t he leave? Why isn’t he stopped?”
The polarizing Musk twice made a gesture that many interpreted as a Nazi salute at a rally for Trump after his inauguration Jan. 20. Later that week, Musk made light of the criticism with Nazi-themed jokes on social media. Last month, the billionaire told podcaster Joe Rogan that the salute was not a Nazi gesture and said, “Just to be clear, I’m not a Nazi.”
Burr described Musk as a “guy who can’t fight his way out of a wet paper bag” before continuing to trounce liberals for delivering “nothing” in the way of opposition aside from symbolic statements.
“Fresh Air” host Terry Gross pushed back, however, and pointedly asked, “What are you doing?” Burr noted that he’s speaking up about it and explained that he’s frustrated with liberal politicians and celebrities rather than mere Democratic voters.
“First of all, I’m a stand-up comedian,” he said. “It’s not my friggin’ job. I’m talking about Democratic politicians. Where is their pushback?”
Musk spent a quarter billion dollars to help elect Trump and has since become the head of the Department of Government Efficiency, whose purported aims are to slash wasteful public spending — but whose results are concerning to many.

Burr has never shied away from calling out U.S. imperialism, political corruption or lack of social safety nets. Last week, he called right-wing pundit Ben Shapiro a “jerk-off” for calling him “woke” after Burr explained why he despises predatory health care CEOs.
On Monday, the Bostonian anti-Trump comic mainly mourned the lack of focus emanating from Democrats: “You can get canceled as a comedian for doing a frigging Caitlyn Jenner joke. But this asshole can Sieg heil and nothing.”
