Charlize Theron didn’t hold back while revealing that she recently had a “fucking amazing” one-night stand with a man nearly half her age.
“I found this freedom in my 40s,” the actor, 49, said on Wednesday’s episode of Alex Cooper’s “Call Her Daddy” podcast. “I’ve probably had three one-night stands in my entire life, but I did just recently fuck a 26-year-old and it was really fucking amazing and I’ve never done that and I was like, ‘Oh, this is great, OK.’”
Cooper then jokingly interjected, “Let me just say that 26-year-old is the luckiest fucking man walking on this goddamn planet. He’s walking different today, knowing.”
Theron added with a laugh: “He for sure is not, but thank you.”
The South African film producer went on to explain that despite not having “many of them,” the rare times that she has slept with a man on a first date, it made her wish she would have done so more often in her early days.
“So when I do [have a one night stand], I’m like, ‘Oh, fuck yeah, I should have done this in my 20s,’” Theron shared.
While Theron never walked down the aisle (and has been vocal about her distaste for marriage), she’s been romantically linked to actors like Sean Penn, Craig Bierko and Stuart Townsend. She also dated Third Eye Blind frontman Stephan Jenkins.
The “Monster” leading lady added that being a single mother has limited her time for courtship. “Who has fucking time for dates and shaving and waxing and makeup? And, like, I’ve got two children that have to go to school.”
Theron is mom to young daughters Jackson and August. She adopted Jackson, 12, in 2012 before adopting August, 9, in 2015.
Later in the interview, the star got candid about the importance of women speaking up for themselves in the bedroom.
“Women who come across as confident, women who come across as outspoken, ones that wouldn’t speak up for themselves tend to also be, in bed, people who want to please males,” Theron said. “Like, and I have found this in my experiences with talking to other women about this. Isn’t it strange? We should be the ones that are like, ‘Fuck you. I’m gonna have an orgasm.’”
