Denise Richards’ Husband Aaron Phypers Files For Divorce After 6 Years Of Marriage

Denise Richards and Aaron Phypers’ marriage has come to an end.

Phypers, 52, filed for divorce from the “Wild Things” star, 54, on Monday, according to court documents obtained by multiple outlets. Phypers listed the pair’s date of separation as July 4 and cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their divorce.

Phypers noted that he’s seeking spousal support from Richards in the court filing.

Reps for Richards and Phypers did not immediately respond to HuffPost’s requests for comment.

The actor and Richards tied the knot in 2018 after they began dating in 2017. The former couple share no children, but Phypers was reportedly in the process of adopting Richards’ teen daughter Eloise. It’s unclear if Phypers’ adoption of Eloise was made official.

Richards adopted Eloise in 2011 years after her divorce from ex-husband Charlie Sheen, with whom she shares two children, Sami and Lola. Sheen and Richards were married from 2002 to 2006.

Meanwhile, Phypers was previously married to “Desperate Housewives” star Nicollette Sheridan from 2015 until 2018.

Richards and Phypers appeared together in Bravo TV’s reality series “Denise Richards & Her Wild Things,” which first aired back in March.

Richards previously gushed about how they made their marriage work after nearly seven years together while speaking with Bravo’s “The Daily Dish.”

“I always say it’s never balanced. It is what it is. I think that even though we’re in the public eye and I’ve had the career I’ve had, [my ex-husband Charlie Sheen has] had the career he’s had. I was raised in Illinois. My kids were raised in Hollywood,” she said in March.
