“Daily Show” correspondent and guest host Jordan Klepper said there’s a reason President Donald Trump’s attempts to get his fan base to stop talking about Jeffrey Epstein are falling flat.
It goes against his entire career, which has been built on working to “heighten the drama” as much as possible, he said.
“You can’t spend your whole life as the messy bitch from a reality show and then suddenly say, ‘Can we have some decorum here, please?’” Klepper pointed out. “Because this does not sound like Donald Trump.”
Trump and his allies had promised to release documents related to late convicted sex offender Epstein, including a long-rumored “client list.” But last week, Trump’s Justice Department said no such list exists and there are no more documents to release, causing at least some of the MAGA faithful to turn on the president.
“This is a shocking turn of events for Donald Trump,” Klepper said. “His own sycophants are breaking ranks with him. And even worse, they are demanding accountability.”
The president is not happy.
“By this morning, Trump had absolutely lost it on his supporters,” Klepper said.
The president fired off a message on social media essentially kicking those people out of his MAGA movement, saying he doesn’t want their support anymore.
“Goddamn! He went full messy bitch,” Klepper said. “If you can’t handle me at my sex crimes cover up, you don’t deserve me at my alligator concentration camps, you sluts!”
