Jennifer Coolidge Reacts To THAT ‘White Lotus’ Scene: ‘You Know What I’m Talking About’

The White Lotus” alum Jennifer Coolidge says creator Mike White has already “topped” the first two seasons, citing the incestuous sex scene involving Lochlan (Sam Nivola) and Saxon Ratliff (Patrick Schwarzenegger) that aired last month to shocked reactions online.

The comedy-drama series, which follows a different group of guests at the fictional resort chain each season, saw Saxon receive a drug-induced hand job from his younger brother, Lochlan — a high school senior — which Coolidge says she couldn’t even have imagined writing.

“I was sort of thinking, ‘What could Mike possibly come up with? What could Mike White come with that would sort of top all these sort of weird storylines he has?’” Coolidge told E! News on the red carpet Sunday ahead of the world premiere of “A Minecraft Movie” in London

“And he has topped it,” she continued. “He’s come up with something, like, I can’t think of — I don’t think I will ever see this [again]. I mean, what he’s come up with is sort of a thing that people will be talking about for a very long time. And you know what I’m talking about.”

Coolidge portrayed an uber-wealthy heiress named Tanya McQuoid-Hunt in the first two seasons of the show. The role earned her multiple Emmys and a Golden Globe — prompting indelible acceptance speeches and an arguable career revival.

While the actor garnered accolades, acclaim and trophies offscreen, however, her character bit the dust at the end of Season 2 — after fatally discovering that her husband, Greg (Jon Gries), conspired ahead of their Italian vacation to have her killed for her money.

Coolidge said last year that she hoped Gries would reprise his role in the third season to get his comeuppance, which White might be planning: Season 3 sees Greg living in Thailand under a new name, only to bump into an acquaintance who suspects him in Tanya’s death.

Whether he follows in his former wife’s footsteps during the upcoming finale on Sunday remains to be seen, though Coolidge adamantly confirmed Sunday that she certainly hopes so: “I don’t know what Mike has planned for him, but I don’t want him to have a good life.”

She continued, “You know, something terrible needs to happen to Greg, don’t you think?”
