Jimmy Kimmel earned a massive cheer from his studio audience on Wednesday after suggesting how President Donald Trump could make his greatest contribution to America yet.
Kimmel discussed what he called a “roller coaster of a day,” which saw a stock market rally following Trump’s announcement that he would pause most of his controversial increased tariffs.

“Think about that,” Kimmel said. “The best thing Trump has ever done for America was undo the incredibly dumb thing he did.”
Then he asked: “I mean, imagine if he quit.”
The audience erupted.
“He could usher in a whole new era of prosperity,” Kimmel added, to further applause. “And now, our job, I guess, is to sit back and watch him take credit for solving the financial crisis he created.”
