‘My God’: Jordan Klepper Calls Out Trump White House’s ‘Bulls**t’ Deportation Claim

Daily Show” host Jordan Klepper knocked President Donald Trump on Tuesday after his administration deported hundreds of immigrants to El Salvador over the weekend despite a judge’s order to temporarily block the removals.

“My god, I mean, if you had told me that Donald Trump would trigger a constitutional crisis just seven weeks into his term I would have said that is a lot later than I thought,” Klepper quipped.

But, the comedian noted, the Trump administration had enough “respect” for the judicial branch “to come up with some bullshit.”

He then turned to a “CBS Mornings” clip highlighting the White House’s argument that the planes deporting alleged Venezuelan gang members were in the air at the time of the judge’s order and his earlier “verbal order” to turn the planes around “did not count.”

“Well, this is definitely not the first time that Trump has defended himself by arguing that ‘oral doesn’t count,’” joked Klepper, who got groans followed by applause from the crowd.

He later mocked Trump for “somehow going even further” when he took to his Truth Social platform calling for the impeachment of U.S. District Judge James E. Boasberg, who issued the order.

“And if you would have told me that that all happened in 48 hours, I would have said, ‘Wow, again, longer than I expected,’” Klepper said.
