Rumer Willis Shares Update On Dad Bruce Willis As He Turns 70

Rumer Willis is giving fans an update on her dad, Bruce Willis, as the beloved actor turns 70 today.

During a Q&A session on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, the 36-year-old actor replied to a fan’s question about the status of her father’s health.

In 2022, the “Die Hard” star’s family announced he was diagnosed with aphasia and would be retiring from acting. His condition progressed to frontotemporal dementia the following year.

“He’s doing great, thank you for asking,” Rumer Willis said, according to People. “It’s actually his 70th birthday tomorrow, so, please wish my Papa a big happy birthday!”

Her upbeat update about her dad came after she said on British talk show “Loose Women” last month that he’s been “doing great.”

Elsewhere in the interview, she expressed gratitude for her “beautiful” blended family dynamic.

Her parents, Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, 62, who were married from 1987 to 2000, also share daughters Scout Willis, 33, and Tallulah Willis, 31. The “Sixth Sense” actor is also dad to young daughters Mabel and Evelyn with now-wife Emma Heming Willis.

“Even when [my parents] split up, they created such a beautiful foundation of prioritizing my sisters and I that I never felt like I had to choose,” Rumer Willis explained during the episode, which aired Feb. 3. “They never played against each other. We were a family, and we still are very much a family, no matter what.”
