Film icon Jack Nicholson made a rare public appearance on Sunday night when he introduced Adam Sandler during the “Saturday Night Live” 50th anniversary special.
“Ladies and gentlemen, Adam Sandler,” Nicholson said.
The two starred together in the 2003 film “Anger Management.”
Sandler led a cheer for Nicholson and told him, “Love you, brother,” before performing a song about the history of “Saturday Night Live.”

Nicholson, 87, won three Oscars in a storied career that crossed more than five decades and nearly every genre.
But while he never formally retired, he hasn’t appeared in a film since 2010’s “How Do You Know,” and in more recent years has only occasionally appeared in public, including attending a 2023 Lakers game in Los Angeles, where he was once a fixture in his courtside seats.
