A “Saturday Night Live” alum has been a very bad boy to a very good girl.
On Tuesday, “Late Night” host Seth Meyers announced on Instagram that his 14-year-old Italian greyhound, Frisbee, had passed away.
“RIP to Frisbee, our OG IG who I was happy to go grey with,” Meyers wrote alongside a carousel post that included oodles of pics of his pup throughout the years. “She was at her best curled in your lap and patient when we dressed her up like a pilgrim. Thanks for 14 amazing years, girl.”

Although Meyers adored Frisbee, one of Meyer’s friends and fellow “Saturday Night Live” alums despised her. And that pooch-hater is none other than Andy Samberg.
The “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” star’s beef with a dog that probably weighed as much as a hamburger first became public in 2014, when Meyers mentioned his “adorable dog Frisbee” to Samberg on “Late Night.”
“You met my dog when she was, like, a 2-month-old puppy, and you basically said, ‘No, thank you,’” Meyers said to Samberg.
“Frisbee is a dog, who, to me, looks kinda rat-like,” Samberg responded. “And I lived in New York a long time, and I don’t get down on rats.”

Ever since Samberg’s hatred for a tiny pup went public, it’s become an ongoing joke. So much so that Meyers got fellow “SNL” alum Amy Poehler to play a prank on Samberg last month on her podcast “Good Hang.”
Meyers asked Poehler to tell Samberg that Frisbee had died, and she did, prompting Samberg to respond with glee.
“Don’t even play because I’ll be so happy,” he told her. “I will never back off that. That dog sucks, dude! And I know this is a good vibes cast, so I don’t even want to bring that energy, but that dog is like a rat carcass.”
And although Samberg has yet to comment on Frisbee’s real passing, when Meyers announced her death on Tuesday, one of the top comments on his Instagram post read: “May her ghost haunt Andy Samberg forever 🙏🏻♥️”
Samberg is so heavily linked to Frisbee that when many outlets reported the news that she had died, most squeezed the fact that she was Samberg’s nemesis into their headlines — including The New York Times.
Meyers even reposted a headline by People that mentioned Samberg’s name on X on Tuesday. In the tweet, Meyers made it clear that Samberg’s hatred for Frisbee was mutual.
“She also disliked him, FWIW,” Meyers wrote.
