Elizabeth Hurley’s son, Damian Hurley, seems to approve of his mom’s new romance with Billy Ray Cyrus.
The elder Hurley and Cyrus surprised fans Sunday by going public with their relationship with an Instagram photo of themselves canoodling.
“Happy Easter,” Hurley wrote alongside the image, in which Cyrus ― who happened to be wearing a pair of bunny ears ― plants a kiss on her cheek.
One person who didn’t appear to be caught off-guard by the announcement, however, was Damian Hurley, 21, who responded to his mother’s post with a pair of celebratory emojis.
Others, including Heidi Klum, also shared their support in the comments of the post.
The exact timeline of Cyrus’ relationship with Hurley hasn’t been confirmed, though Hurley shared a short video of herself vacationing in the Maldives April 9 that was set to Cyrus’ 1992 song, “She’s Not Cryin’ Anymore.”

Cyrus split from fellow musician Firerose last year after about seven months of marriage. From 1993 to 2023, he was married to entertainment manager Tish Finley, with whom he shares daughters Brandi, Miley and Noah Cyrus, and sons Braison and Trace Cyrus. He also has a son, Christopher Cyrus, with ex Kristin Luckey.
Hurley shares her son with businessman Steve Bing, who died in 2020. From 2007 to 2011, she was married to Indian business tycoon Arun Nayar.
During the early years of her career, Hurley was in a relationship with Hugh Grant. The pair went their separate ways in 2000 after dating for about 13 years, though Hurley has referred to the “Bridget Jones’ Diary” actor as her “best friend” in interviews since then.
In January, Cyrus made headlines by delivering a widely panned performance at one of President Donald Trump’s inaugural festivities.
The two-time Grammy winner sounded hoarse and appeared to encounter issues with the venue’s audio system during the set, despite the assistance of a crew member. He later blamed “technical issues.”
Days after the performance, Trace Cyrus posted an open letter on Instagram urging his father to “seek help.”
“We are all hanging on to memories of the man we once knew & hoping for the day he returns,” he wrote. “You’re not healthy Dad & everyone is noticing it.”
