Megan Thee Stallion Gave A Met Gala Food Review — And The Portions Were Insane

Phones were banned, but Megan Thee Stallion made sure her device had a seat at the table at Monday’s Met Gala — capturing some behind-the-scenes footage from inside fashion’s most exclusive room.

The “Hot Girl” artist attended the event draped in a Michael Kors gown, but the real showstopper? Her “forbidden” footage from inside Anna Wintour’s star-studded soirée. Seated beside rapper Doechii and basketball phenom Angel Reese, the Texas native gave followers a sneak peek of the minuscule portions offered during what appeared to be the event’s cocktail hour.

The trio’s commentary started with cornbread topped with caviar — to which Megan confessed Reese “didn’t believe” the rapper’s suggestion that the appetizer was tasty. From there, they rated vegan lox, truffle chopped cheese, and curried chicken pastries — the last of which Reese declared was a “little dry.”

Entertaining as the commentary may have been, Instagram users were more preoccupied with the portion sizes. One user wrote, “MET childish for all this finger food,” while another said they would have had to “sneak” a “10 piece” meal into the function. Others, amused but unfazed, said they’d stick to their “wings and fries.”

On TikTok, fans felt as if they were on a FaceTime call with the rapper herself, living for the “forbidden footage” she captured.

Later in the video montage, the rapper was seated at a table where guests cheered and clinked glasses — in lieu of footage of their dinner.

Megan, well aware of the event’s no-phone policy, made it clear that she “snuck the phone inside” — even referencing peeling off the event’s signature tape seal — while casually filming stars such as Ciara, Cynthia Erivo and Lupita Nyong’o.
