Shakira Accidentally Lets Rihanna’s Met Surprise Slip Before Red Carpet Reveal

Shakira accidentally blew Rihanna’s big Met Gala surprise early.

The “Soltera” singer let her fellow star’s pregnancy secret slip while telling NBC Los Angeles who she was most excited to run into on the red carpet.

“Rihanna! I want to see her,” Shakira told the outlet. “I want to see her so bad, and I just heard the news too.”

After a brief pause from the oblivious interviewer, the Colombian superstar revealed, “She’s pregnant!”

Instantly, Shakira knew she had slipped up and put her hands on her face, looking horrified.

“Am I not supposed to say that?” she said before shrugging off her mistake with a laugh and walking away.

Hours later, Rihanna’s partner A$AP Rocky confirmed they were expecting their third child, making the news official.

“It feels amazing, you know,” he told red carpet reporters. “It’s time that we show the people what we was cooking up, and I’m glad everybody’s happy for us, ’cause we definitely happy, you know.”
