Olivia Munn Reveals The Real ‘Deficit’ That Sparked Trump’s Tariff Turmoil

Olivia Munn made a surprise return to “The Daily Show” on Wednesday to explain why President Donald Trump’s sweeping tariffs weren’t about making up any trade deficits.

“This is all to make up for Donald Trump’s enormous deficit of attention and love,” said the actor, who served as a correspondent on the show from 2010 to 2011.

Munn then turned to Trump’s speech at a National Republican Congressional Committee dinner on Tuesday, where he claimed that foreign countries are calling him up and “kissing my ass” in response to his tariffs, which have fueled madness for financial markets around the world over the past week.

“They are dying to make a deal, ‘Please, please, sir, make a deal,’” said the president, who — less than 24 hours later — reversed course as he announced a 90-day pause on imposing high tariffs on most countries except China.

Munn, in response to the clip, made an “ass” out of the president.

“See, he’s just a boy, standing in front of the world, asking to have his ass kissed,” Munn quipped.

“And once the world fills the aching hole in his heart, the tariffs will end.”

“Daily Show” correspondent Desi Lydic shared her doubts, telling Munn “that will never happen.”

“There’s not enough attention in the world to make him feel like a human again,” Lydic said.

“Exactly, bitch,” Munn replied.
